Very nice looking campground. I wish there was more info and signage available on how to access the CT from here. It took a good bit of exploring to figure out that you have to park at the campground kiosk and walk towards the campground to find the CT Trailhead.
$10 per night. No electric or running water. The sites are very close together, as in less than 10 feet between most sites.
Nice site. Was nobody there but me when I went in the fall. Sites are close together but some are more secluded. Right next to trail access, river and creek. Restroom nearby(no water). - 1 star because it could use some maintenance. Almost all the fire pits had layers of trash inside that you will want to dig out before using.
When we stayed there were only 2 other groups there so we were able to set up well away from the others. The trails were great and we really enjoyed the river and the kids played at the creek that runs beside the campground. The tent pads aren't very big for an 8 person max capacity. We had to play around to get our little 2-man and 3-man tents to fit (2 tents about 7 ft x 7 ft). Some of the fire rings were full of ash and stuff and all but 2 of the trash cans were full.
Primitive campsite. $7/night, no electricity or running water (other than the river) It has changed location to opposite side of river since older reviews. Only one spot seems accessible for a small RV. Bring your tent and enjoy. 6 miles / 15 min from Wartburg in case you forgot charcoal or marshmallows
This is a beautiful little place but they started charging for camping requiring a reservation
Overall though, we had a great time and will definitely be going again. However, I would not suggest doing it during the busy season.
